A

Adhesive tape

A strip of adhesive tape attached to the bag to securely tape the polyethylene bag close.

Anti-Stat

An additive that is used when making the film to reduce static in the poly bag. Ideally used for electronic components

Bag with a lip

A lip put on the poly bag that can flip over the outside, or be tucked inside of the poly bag

Bags

Poly film that is cut, sealed, and used as a flexible, protective container

Bottom Seal

A bonded seal on the bottom of a bag sealing 2 layers.

Bottom Gusset

Pleated bottom on bag. There are three dimensions used when giving the side of a bottom gusset: Length x width x bottom gusset size.

Centerfold Film

Film on a roll with a slit on the side of the crease.

Die Cut Handle

A hole cut out in various shapes.

Door Knob Bag

Bags with a circular hole on the top of it, making it ideal for hanging on a door. Many hotels and promotional agencies use this bag.

A singular sheet of poly that is doubled on a roll.

Film

A roll of poly that is not converted into bags yet. It is the initial product after the resin is melted and blown by our state of the art machinery

Flip Top

Food and Drug Compliant Bags

In order to have contact with food and drugs, the polyethylene must be 100% virgin polyethylene and meet US government specification LP-378 and be conformant to FDA regulation 177.1520 for food contact. RUTAN'S FILM AND BAGS COMPLY WITH THESE AND ARE SUITABLE FOR CONTACT WITH FOOD AND DRUGS

Freezer Bag

These bags contain special ingredients for performing under cold conditions. Most poly becomes brittle under cold conditions. These specific bags will maintain their flexibility better

Gusset

Pleats on the bag.

Garbage Bag

A bag that is commonly used for lining garbage receptacles.

Millage

Money bags

Bags that are used to hold and keep track of money. They have an adhesive strip on the top of the bag for sealing it, and the bags become tamper evident as a result.

Security Bags
